Sustainable Homes, Inc. is based in Boerne, Texas. It is owned by Darrel and Shauna McMaster. The McMaster’s have lived in the Boerne area for 10 years. Darrel has been building homes for over 32 years. He comes from a family of builders, with three generations still active in the home building industry. He is a Master Builder, which means that he not only has the knowledge but the skill to build any phase of the home.

Most of the work performed on a Sustainable home is done by their own employees. It’s an age old practice still employed by the McMasters. Darrel says, "the theory is simple if you have to frame on top of the concrete you set up, or build the cabinets that are attached to the wall that you framed you are going to do it right the first time". This also helps us keep prices down and the quality up.

The McMaster’s have had experience in production, multi-family and custom home building. At this time our goal is to show that 100% sustainable homes are not only affordable but possible, not only in custom homes but in production homes, as well as multi-family communities.
